Because of our love for the Lord, we desire to effectively staff and direct this congregation of believers to fulfill its mission of spreading the gospel.
Staff
The Lord has richly blessed us with two pastors to serve our spiritual needs here at Beautiful Savior. These men are loving shepherds of God’s flock. From them you may expect faithful adherence to God’s Word in sermons, counseling, instruction and every aspect of their ministry.

Pastor John Guse
Pastor John R. Guse entered the ministry in 1972, after completing eight years of study at Northwestern College (Watertown, Wisconsin) and Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary (Mequon, Wisconsin). Upon graduation, he was assigned to do mission work in South Carolina, and for the first ten years of his ministry, helped start a number of congregations. In 1983, he was called to begin a congregation in the north Atlanta area. That congregation is Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church, where he still serves today. Pastor Guse also serves our synod as the President of the South Atlantic District. However, we are fortunate that he is still able to preach regularly, provide long-term guidance, and counsel here at Beautiful Savior. We praise God for his gift to us of this seasoned worker.
In 1969, Pastor Guse married Carolyn, and the Lord blessed them with three sons, Daniel, Matthew and Aaron. Dan lives in Atlanta. Matthew and his family live in Las Vegas, where he is a pastor. Aaron and his family have recently returned to Atlanta.
