Ushers
Teams of men and young men serve as ushers in one service each month. They
greet worshipers, hand out worship folders, seat guests, direct worshipers to
communion, collect the offering, dismiss worshipers, and provide
assistance to worshipers with special needs. Our ushers are there to help
make your visit with us relaxing and enriching, so don't hesitate to ask for
assistance if you need it.

Nursery
Our young children sometimes become restless and disruptive. To help parents
in this situation, adult volunteers provide nursery and childcare services
during the 11:00 a.m. service.

Altar Guild
On a monthly basis pairs of women prepare the altar for worship. They change
the altar linen and banners as appropriate to the church season; set out the
candles, missal stand, flowers, and offering plates; fill and set out the
communion ware; and fill the baptismal font. When the service is over,
they clear and drape the altar and lectern. They also decorate the altar
and sanctuary for Christmas and Easter.

Greeters
Greeters are members of the congregation
who volunteer to greet and welcome worshipers for one service a month. They are
particularly attentive to visitors who are unfamiliar with our worship service
and often assist them in using the worship folder and hymnals.

Music
The singing of hymns, psalms and responses is a key element of Lutheran
Worship, following a liturgical service that employs a variety of music and
musical forms. Music played on an organ, piano, keyboard, woodwind, string
or brass instrument as well as computer-generated music, is used to accompany
congregational and choral singing that ranges from traditional to contemporary.
